Cleaning

  • Clean glass surfaces and check for any damage – (We recommend that your glass is further cleaned every 1-2 months.)

• Frames & Hinges:
  • We will clean  frames and hinges.
  • Check for discoloration or stains, particularly on uPVC or timber frames.

• Tracks and Rails:
  

   

  • Vacuum and wipe down tracks of sliding or bi-fold doors to remove dirt and debris.

Check Seals and Weatherstripping

• Inspect seals around the glass and frames for cracks, gaps, or ware.
• Ensure weatherstripping around doors and windows is intact and not peeling or damaged.
• Replace any compromised seals or weatherstripping promptly to maintain energy efficiency.

4. Inspect Hinges, Locks, and Handles

• Test all hinges, handles, and locks monthly to ensure they operate smoothly.
• Tighten loose screws and apply a light lubricant to moving parts like hinges or locks.
• Replace damaged or malfunctioning hardware.*

5. Inspect for Condensation or Moisture

• Check for condensation between the panes of glass, which may indicate a broken seal.*

6. Check Sealant

• Feel around edges for drafts or air leaks.
• Re-seal any gaps or cracks using a silicone-based caulk or sealant to the outside and inside

7. Examine Drainage Holes

• Ensure external drainage holes on the window & door frames are clear of debris to prevent water build-up.

8. Test Opening Mechanisms

• Open and close windows and doors to ensure they move freely and have maintained the correct tolerances and adjust where required. 
• Inspect sliding and bi folding doors for proper alignment and adjust tracks if necessary.
